Amidst the quiet decay, a vintage mermaid statue stands frozen in time. Her expression, once vibrant, now bears the layers of countless seasons—paint peeling, then repainted, only to peel again. She is a silent witness to the park’s past splendor, a symbol of nostalgia and resilience even as she presides over the renovations. Yet, there was something endearing in its earnestness.
